This underlying theme of balance is critical in the ancient beliefs. Thoth enlisted the help of Anubis and his wisdom when repairing the eye of Horus after his infamous battle. And often he is depicted holding the key of life representing the connection between the physical world and the afterlife. The Anubis Mk-ii tries to embody the same balance, precision, and character as the ancient deity himself. Those accolades can be true for gods, drummers, and drum keys.
